Podcasting Your Global Career

Jan 10, 2016

Welcome back to the dHarmic Evolution podcast with me James Kevin O’Connor, singer/songwriter, audio/video artist, and master storyteller. On today’s episode, we go back to Calgary, Canada, to visit with a talented songwriter, Jacqueline Kellock.

Jackie takes us to her hometown of Calgary and tells me all the great stories of cowboys and crazy, civilized Friday night fun! She also shares her songwriting style - hint: it has something to do with cars and rocking chairs. It’s all about the motion, baby!

Her songs reflect a folk, religious vibe - and she writes about cowboys, rodeo parties, the war and its heroes, and her faith. Jackie’ music will do wonders to your soul - it reaches out and touches you. You should check her creations out!

On this episode:

  • Jackie prays for stop lights when driving just so she could finish a song! Now that’s unique!
  • She likes to work with other musicians to put her creation out into the world
  • Jackie tells us about the story behind her touching song about World War II and the veterans - you wouldn’t want to miss this story!
  • She lets us in on her writing process - which, yes, involves moving cars and rocking chairs!
  • You’ll learn how she wrote a song on an envelope because she couldn’t find a piece of paper! Talk about being resourceful!

Jacqueline Kellock songs featured:

  • Lead Me Back Home
  • And No Birds Sang on the Beach of Sicily
  • It’s Friday and It’s Crazy
  • Lonely, You’re a Ruthless Cowboy
